Tillie Creek Campground
Tillie Creek Campground Overview
Tillie Creek campground is located among oak tress on the shores of Lake Isabella. The campground is located at 2,650 feet in elevation, has 105 sites with a maximum RV/trailer length of 30 feet.
The Sequoia National Forest, located at the southern end of the Sierra Nevada in central California, takes its name from the giant sequoia, the world’s largest tree, which grows in more than 30 groves on the Forest’s lower slopes.
The Forest comprises about 1.1 million acres, and elevations range from about 1,000 to 12,000 feet, creating precipitous canyons and mountain streams with spectacular waterfalls such as Salmon Creek Falls and Grizzly Falls.
This campground is located in the southern section of the Sequoia National Forest on Lake Isabella about 3 ½ hours north of Los Angeles. The lake has 40 miles of pristine shoreline with natural coves and beaches. Recreation activities include boating, sailing, water skiing, jet-skiing, windsurfing and fishing. Summer temperatures can reach 100 and there isn’t any shade (trees) so bring that sunblock! The nearby Kern River (Upper and Lower) offers rafting, kayaking, tubing and fishing. There are also many hiking, biking and OTV trails. Nearby towns of Lake Isabella, Wofford Heights and Kernville have plenty of stores, shops and restaurants.
