Hungry Gulch Campground Overview
Hungry Gulch is a Southern Sierra Nevada campground located in the Sequoia National Forest next to Lake Isabella. This large lake has 40 miles of shoreline, coves and beaches that attract many visitors over the summer months. Recreation activities include boating, sailing, water skiing, jet-skiing, windsurfing, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, OHV, and wildlife viewing. The Upper and Lower Kern Rivers are close by and offer rafting and kayaking. There are a few towns in the area that have restaurants, stores, equipment rentals, rafting outfitters, bait shops and other retailers. The campground is located at 2,650 feet and has many trees offering shade in the hot summer months. There are 78 campsites, flush toilets, showers and a playground in the campground. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill.
