Frenchman Campground Overview
Frenchman Campground is one of several in the Frenchman Lake area of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The lake and campground are at about 5,700 feet in elevation. Frenchman Lake is a very popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming and a variety of other water sports. Winter activities include ice-fishing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The campground has 37 mixed-used campsites and are a bit cramped with some being relatively small and not very level. There are vault toilets in the campground and each campsite has a food locker, table, fire ring and grill.
