Sherwin Creek Campground Overview
herwin Creek Campground is located in the Inyo National Forest in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. The area is a popular destination for off-road vehicle enthusiasts and has a motocross track and trails. The campground is located 2 miles from the community of Mammoth Lakes. to ski, fish, hike, bike, photograph and enjoy the spectacular scenery and wildlife of the Sierras. The town of Mammoth Lakes offers a variety of things to do including shopping, golfing, special events and other activities. There are also many fine restaurants in town.
Campground has 87 single-family (mixed-used) campsites located at an elevation of 7,600 feet. The campsites are organized into three loops among mature Jeffrey pine trees. All sites are within a short walk to the creek. There are also several tent-only, walk-to sites. Each campsite has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill.
