Old Shady Rest Campground is located in the Inyo National Forest in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. The campground is located a short walk to the community of Mammoth Lakes. The area is a popular destination to ski, fish, hike, bike, photograph and enjoy the spectacular scenery and wildlife of the Sierras. The town of Mammoth Lakes offers a variety of things to do including shopping, golfing, special events and other activities. There are also many fine restaurants in town.

Old Shady Rest Campground has 51 single-family (mixed-used) campsites set among large and mature pine trees at an elevation of 7,800 feet. The campground is located a short walk to the town of Mammoth Lakes. Each campsite has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill. The campground is best suited for tents and small/medium-sized RVs.
