Oak Knoll Campground

Oak Knoll Campground Overview

Located in the foothills of the Eastern Sierra on New Hogan Lake, Oak Knoll campground offers 46 spacious campsites (no hookups), drinking water and vault toilets. Each campsite has a table, shade structure, fire ring and grill.  New Hogan Lake offers a variety of water sports including boating, fishing, swimming, sailing, canoe/kayaking water skiing, wake boarding and jet skiing. There’s also some cool hiking/biking trails including the ‘River of Skulls’ hiking trail located below the dam at the Monte Vista Recreation Area.  And bring your horse and saddle too – because there’s plenty of equestrian trails.  Hunting with bow and shotgun is permitted during the ope season in certain areas of the lake. There are also a number of historic sites located nearby including Carson Hill, the discovery site of the largest gold nugget ever found.
