Donner Memorial State Park Campground Overview

Donner Memorial State Park is located at 6,200+ feet in elevation and next to Donner Lake in the Sierra Nevada.  There is much to see and do here including visiting the Emigrant Trail Museum to learn all about the tragic story of the Donner Party that was trapped in the area during the winter of 1846-1847.  In addition, you can also swim at the lake, picnic, fish, boat, cross-country ski, hike, bike, backpack and view the abundance of wildlife in the area.  The campground has 152 campsites and flush toilets.   Each campsite has a food locker, table, fire ring and grill.
