Cottonwood Creek Campground Overview

Cottonwood Creek Campground is located along Cottonwood Creek on Highway 89 just 4 miles south of Sierraville in the Tahoe National Forest.  The campground has 49 campsites and sits at an elevation of 5,800 feet among a forest of large pine trees.  This campground makes a great base camp for hiking, hunting, rock climbing and backpacking.  Other outdoor activities include fishing (in nearby Cold Creek), wildlife viewing and cross-country skiing.  There are some campsites that can handle larger RVs. Toilets are vault, and each campsite has a table, fire ring, grill and food locker.
