Boca Campground Overview
Boca Campground is located on the southwest shore of the Boca Reservoir about 7 miles from the town of Truckee. This is a ‘rustic’ campground with vault toilets and no water. Each campsite has a table and fire ring. Mature Jeffrey pine and fir trees provide some shade to the campsites. It’s a popular area for OHV riding as their are several OHV trails in the area. Other outdoor recreation activities include boating, water sports, fishing, swimming, water skiing, wind surfing, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. There is a boat ramp less than a mile from the campground, but due to the severe drought the water levels at Boca reservoir are very low and some ramps may not be operable. The Little Truckee River is also nearby and offers some of Northern California’s best fly-fishing.
