Big Springs Campground Overview

Big Springs campground is located in the eastern-Sierra along the Owen’s River and Deadman Creek at an elevation of 7,300 feet. There are 26 campsites for tents or motorhomes up to 22 feet set among Jeffrey and Ponderosa Pines. Fire rings and picnic tables are provided, but there is no piped water, so bring your own.  Bear boxes and vault toilets are available.

Recreational activities include great Rainbow Trout fishing (Owens River and Deadman Creek), hiking, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, riding your OHV at Lookout Mountain, exploring nearby sites including the Obsidian Dome and the town of Mammoth Lakes.  You can also make a day-trip to Yosemite National Park and Mono Basin.
